Montreal, May 18, 2010 - Société GRICS would like to share with its members the directions it anticipates taking over the course of the next few years.

Like that of the educational community, the environment within which Société GRICS moves is undergoing a profound change. That is why it was important for the managers and members of the Société to pause and contemplate the future of the organization.

This period of analysis and reflection gave rise to a completely new strategic plan for the next five years. Members of the network were consulted and participated in its development. With this plan, the Société proposes some directions and initiatives aimed to confirm its leadership role as well as its intention to remain at the forefront in the use of information technologies to serve education in Québec.

The five major directions chosen by Société GRICS are the following:

1. Develop and mobilize our human resources to meet the organization’s new challenges.
2. Foster innovation and assert our technological leadership through our product and service offering.
3. Improve our business and joint action model by working with our members.
4. Create our portfolio of strategic applications in line with school board needs.
5. Increase efficiency in the delivery of our products and services in order to create value for our customers and better manage our costs.
