Changes to the organizational structure of Société GRICS

Montreal, December 1, 2010 – Société GRICS wishes to advise its clients that it will be making changes to its organizational structure in the coming weeks.

A few months ago, Société GRICS unveiled its strategic five-year plan. In order to fully realize this plan, particularly as it pertains to mobilizing staff, fostering innovation and creating a portfolio of applications in line with school boards' needs, a new organizational structure is required.

Furthermore, the introduction of new work methods that have fundamentally altered the way the company operates has made it necessary to adapt the structure in order to meet these new challenges.

The company's teams will now be grouped together according to the role they play within the organization rather than according to product type (administrative/pedagogical). The new structure will feature a Products Division, which will oversee functional content and product upgrades, a Development Division, which will focus on creating and maintaining applications, and a Services Division, which will provide applications-related support, training, coaching and other types of assistance. Human and Financial Resources will be responsible for all internal departments, and Sales, Marketing and Communications will continue to operate as is.
