News update from our Development Division
Most of the development teams have now completed
their scrum training and are applying the Agile
methodology to software maintenance and
development.
A new dedicated development support team, under
the direction of Michel Biron, is up and
running. This group is responsible for
monitoring technological advances, assisting
development teams, selecting effective
development tools and continually improving
practices.
The Agile transition is proceeding smoothly and yielding a
number of positive impacts at the internal level, including : br>
- motivated teams br>
- improved knowledge-sharing among teams br>
- increased productivity br>
- improvement in software quality
The next stage, which is getting under way, will focus
specifically on the following : improving coding practices,
tests and quality assurance; enhancing the way tools are used
and automating certain processes. The transition is
progressing as planned and is on schedule.
