YourSQLDba is a script file of T-SQL stored procedures, which eases installation of a general purpose maintenance plan for Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 databases.

YourSQLDba provides automated sophisticated SQL maintenance for sites with no database administrator (DBA) and can be easily customized (enhanced) by a casual DBA.

YourSQLDba main design goals are :

• Implement the SQL server maintenance best practices
• Ease of deployment
• No dependencies other that a working SQL Agent and a working SQL Management Studio
• Quality logging and reporting for easy diagnosis
• Ensure that maintenance issues are reported
• Ensure that serious conditions can't be ignored very long

YourSQLDba is delivered in the form of a HTML Help file, which includes the installation/update script. The document's file name is YourSQLDbaGuide.chm.

The HTML Help format, eases consultations (keyword search, subdivisions direct access and animated links).

The first page of the YourSQLDba guide, includes a document modifications history (Release notes). This release notes section contains hyperlinks to modified sections.
